We have survived yet another holiday season...........filled with family, friends and much love ..
It is always a busy time of year with the travel to and from family homes...yet I would not miss it for the world!. We celebrated Christmas Eve morning with the Lawson's (Joyce and Johnny Sr.) we opened gifts and had a wonderful brunch. Then in the evening it was off to my Mom's (NANA) for our Christmas Eve dinner and opening of gifts. Those who could join us Tamara, Emily, Lilly, Justin, Lisa, Caden, Jody, Jeremy, Jordan, Cade and Cameron, Jefffery, Me and Johnny, Anna and Boo. Needless, to say it was wild- with so many little ones to open gifts this year for those who wanted to do this and not get into EVERYTHING ELSE!!!-It always great fun however, BUT we all miss the way my Daddy would always open his gifts so neatly (with a pocket knife) you could re-use the wrapping paper another year his laughter and his smile. It's just not the same.....with out him. On Christmas Day we joined the Lawsons' and exteneded family for lunch. Then it was back to our home in Buchanan for a evening with the Wheeler Family Members for more great food. As for New Years' Eve we celebrated with our two grandson's Caden and Cameron here in Buchanan @ our home.....needless, to say we had a wonderful time. Now that the holidays are over and we are getting back to daily life ...........I really miss the Christmas Tree and the Lights...........But, the love of our Lord Jesus Christ will live in my heart everyday of the year.
