Pray Request.........

I have a new neice and her name is Maelyn Grace Wilhelm and she is 5 weeks old. She was born 6 weeks early because she was in distress. We have just found out last week that she has been diagnosed with a genetic disease that starts with a Z. I can't remember exactly what it is but I do know that it is ternminal. No child has survived from this disease. This genetic disease is always fatal. It has something to do between Lorin and Joe. Lorin is Benny's brother James child. Both of them wanted a large family and now the possibility of that is very slim. They are a young couple who have just finished building their new house to raise their children in.

I would like to start a prayer circle, but I don't know what to do and I thought that I would start with the two of you. Please pass this along to all your friends and family.

Love,

LeAnn

The Basic Rules 4 Clotheslines

THE BASIC RULES FOR CLOTHESLINES:

(if you don't know what clotheslines are, better skip this)
1. You had to wash the clothes line before hanging any clothes- walk the entire lengths of each line with a damp cloth around the lines.
2. You had to hang the clothes in a certain order, and always hang "whites" with "whites," and hang them first.
3. You never hung a shirt by the shoulders - always by the tail! What would the neighbors think?
4. Wash day on a Monday! . . . Never hang clothes on the weekend, or Sunday, for Heaven's sake!
5. Hang the sheets and towels on the outside lines so you could hide your "unmentionables" in the middle (perverts & busybodies, y'know!)
6. It didn't matter if it was sub zero weather . . . clothes would "freeze-dry."
7. Always gather the clothes pins when taking down dry clothes! Pins left on the lines were "tacky!"
8. If you were efficient, you would line the clothes up so that each item did not need two clothes pins, but shared one of the clothes pins with the next washed item.
9. Clothes off of the line before dinner time, neatly folded in the clothes basket, and ready to be ironed.
10. IRONED?! Well, that's a whole other subject!A POEMA clothesline was a news forecastTo neighbors passing by.
There were no secrets you could keep
When clothes were hung to dry.
It also was a friendly link For neighbors always knewIf company had stopped on by To spend a night or two.
For then you'd see the "fancy sheets"And towels upon the line; You'd see the "company table cloths"With intricate designs.
The line announced a baby's birthTo folks who lived inside -As brand new infant clothes were hung,So carefully with pride!
The ages of the children could So readily be knownBy watching how the sizes changed, You'd know how much they'd grown!
It also told when illness struck,As extra sheets were hung; Then nightclothes, and a bathrobe, too,Haphazardly were strung.
It also said, "Gone on vacation now" When lines hung limp and bare.It told, "We're back!" when full lines sagged With not an inch to spare! New folks in town were scorned upon If wash was dingy and gray,As neighbors carefully raised their brows,And looked the other way . . .
But clotheslines now are of the past,
For dryers make work much less.
Now what goes on inside a home Is anybody's guess!
I really miss that way of life.
It was a friendly sign
When neighbors knew each other best By what hung on the line!
New year...new news. Be the first to know what is making headlines.

people come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

when someone is in your life for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. they have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. they may seem like a Godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. sometimes they walk away, sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand - what we must realize us that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, and their work is done. the prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

some people come into your life for a season, because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. they bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. they may teach you something you have never done. usually, they give you an unbelievable amount of joy, so believe it - it is real. but only for one season.

lifetime relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. it is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

to anyone who reads this, you know your relationship with me and your purpose in my life. if it wasnt clear before, hopefully it is now. im am so grateful to have you in my life. thank you

Angels Explained by Children........

I only know the names of two angels, Hark and Harold. -Gregory, 5 Everybody's got it all wrong. Angels don't wear halos anymore. I forget why, but scientists are working on it -Olive, 9 It's not easy to become an angel! First, you die. Then you go to Heaven, and then there's still the flight training to go through. And then you got to agree to wear those angel clothes. -Matthew, 9 Angels work for God and watch over kids when God has to go do something else. -Mitchell, 7 My guardian angel helps me with math, but he's not much good for science. -Henry, 8 Angels don't eat, but they drink milk from Holy Cows!!! -Jack, 6 Angels talk all the way while they're flying you up to heaven. The main subject is where you went wrong before you got dead. -Daniel, 9 When an angel gets mad, he takes a deep breath and counts to ten. And when he lets out his breath, somewhere there's a tornado. -Reagan, 10 Angels have a lot to do and they keep very busy. If you lose a tooth, an angel comes in through your window and leaves money under your pillow.. Then when it gets cold, angels go south for the winter. -Sara, 6 Angels live in cloud houses made by God and his son, who's a very good carpenter. -Jared,8 All angels are girls because they gotta wear dresses, and boys didn't go for it. -Antonio, 9 My angel is my grandma who died last year. She got a big hea d start on helping me while she was still down here on earth. -Ashley , 9 Some of the angels are in charge of helping heal sick animals and pets. And if they don't make the animals get better, they help the child get over it. -Vicki, 8 What I don't get about angels is why, when someone is in love, they shoot arrows at them. -Sarah, 7

Cameron........

This past weekend we had many grand adventures with Cameron and never left the farm... It all started a couple of weeks ago when Cameron (my youngest grandson) who by the way is 2 years old was taken to the hospital with a ear infection. The nite before he was up most of the nite and would sleep maybe 1/2 hour - 2 hours before waking up and crying " A" - short for Abuela' "hold me-rock me and I did quite a few times. Well, his ear infection is all better now however, His request to be rocked EVERY TIME he is to go down for a nap or bedtime. This is all new- He has always for the most part been placed in his crib and he goes to sleep on his own........Any suggestions for breaking this "habit" would be great. Please don't get me wrong I LOVE TO ROCK HIM.........
This past weekend we enjoyed outdoor play on Friday afternoon 01-23-08 which included time to swing which he loves. We also, spent time coloring in the color book, building Lego blocks, and story time.
On Sunday Pop and I were both at home with Cameron so we all spent the day together and had lots of fun.
The photo above is one on his rocking horse which he loves........
