Friday Afternoon with Cade-Cam

This afternoon I picked up my 2 grandson's for a weekend vist. Now, how cool is that? (as Cameron would say)- it's one of his many new words. We were driving to my home in the country as Caden started singing a song he had learned at pre-school (something about a bear and I'm not scared). On the way we had to stop by the bank. I decided to use the one that has the plastic container. Needless, to say the boys' loved watching how it all worked so much the lady at the drive-thur sent the suckers on a second trip so the kids' could watch it work again.
We arrived at our home(Abuela&Pop) the kids we great we did dinner, bathes, reading of books popcorn, then after teeth brushing off to bed both in bed before 9:00pm and ASLEEP. We have adventures panned for Sat and Sun so be sure to check back in for weekend updates.

"Keep Looking Up, That's Where Blessing Come From"

Love,

Mom and Johnny

Before I Was A Mom....

Before I was a Mom

Before I was a Mom I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.

I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom I had never been puked on.
Pooped on, Chewed on, Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, The joy, The love, The heartache,
The wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.
And before I was a Grandma, I didn't know that all those "Mom" feelings more than doubled when you see that little bundle being held by "your baby".
Remember that behind every successful mother... Is a basket of dirty laundry. .

For Michael Justin and James Gordon

A Son

A son is a wonderful blessing

A treasure from above

His laughter, warmth and special charm

He's thoughtfulness and love

A son brings a special joy

That comes from deep inside

And as he grows to manhood

He fills your heart with pride

With every year that passes

He's more special than before

Through every stage, through every age

You love him even more

No words can describe the warm memories

The pride and gratitude, too

That comes from having a son

To love and to cherish... just like you

Love, Mom

Life takes place in the things we do...

Life doesn't live in the things that we have. It takes place in the things that we do coming and going, building and bonding, laughing and even grieving.

Welcome Lillian Grace Woody

Meet my new great neice Lillian Grace Woody born 09-12-08.
Weight 8 lbs. 13.5 ounces 21" inches
Proud Parents: Emily and Ben

My Daddy’s Hand
Daddy, take my hand in yours and you will plainly see, How very much I need you now to love and care for me.
As my little hand grows, I will need you even more,
Everything I do in life, I have never done before.
Teach me to be kind and loving, sharing and forgiving;
Show me through your acts of love the pure joy of living
The years will pass by quickly, and one day I will be grown
I will pass what you have taught me on to children of my own
Hold me always in your thoughts and remember when we are apart
The special love between a child and a daddy's heart.

Life....

Lessons on Life
There was an Indian Chief who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest.., in turn..,
to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away. The first son went in the Winter, the second in the Spring, the third in Summer,
and the youngest son in the Fall. When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen. The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son said "no" it was covered with green buds and full of promise. The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so
sweet and looked so beautiful. It was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment. The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had
each seen but only one season in the tree's life.He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from
that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up. If you give up when it's Winter, you will miss the promise of your Spring,
the beauty of your Summer, the fulfillment of your Fall.Moral:Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest. Don't judge life by one difficult season.Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come.

Live Simply,
Love Generously,
Care Deeply,
Speak Kindly,
Leave the Rest to God,
Happiness keeps You Sweet,
Trials keep You Strong,
Sorrows keep You Human,
Failures keep You Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But God keeps You Going!

When Love Comes Your Way

“When Love Comes Your Way”

Like a shooting star across the sky,
When love comes your, you grasp it with all your heart.
As you start your life together, everyday is a chance to
Make memories to fill your book of life.
Memories are treasures that can be cherished and
Relived no matter when or where you are.
Love is a gift that once opened, never stops giving,
Is always returnable and is perpetually renewable.
Love is a wonderful mystery that has endless paths to explore.
Time is also a precious gift.
Whether its minutes,
or hours or days, whether it’s a call to say”hi” or a note
That says’ “I love you”.
A walk on the beach together, a drive down a country road,
An afternoon of quiet time together or that special look
That says more than words ever could.
It’s the simple things that don’t cost anything but your time
And your love; these things cherished and remembered.
God never gives us more than we can handle.
May God bless your marriage, your life and your love.
May He give you more joy than you ever imagined.

Who is the J-Team and Me?

This is a name my Daddy gave to his first grandchildren as you read you will see just how this all came to be. The "J-Team"of grandchildren existed of Justin, Jeremy, James, Jordon. Then along came "Little Miss. Emily". Now, if you knew my Daddy he had nicknames for all- "Earl", "Pete", "Jaybob", "Cottontop", and "Miss Emily". These children were his pride and joy of course since they were his"grandchildren". Now, as time passed many years later we have now added more grandchildren- Ronald Franklin(2) and Annalise Faith(1) both just as special to our family. As of now we even have great-grandchildren- Justice Caden (4) and Cameron Jackson( 2), Lillian Grace (born 09-12-08). We are a large family and love children as you can plainly see by reading this posting.

"Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him" Psalm 127:3 (NLT)
